The Arizona Ratings Committee met
on Sunday, August 17th at Kitty's in
Phoenix, AZ.  There was a great
turnout from numerous rooms across
the state.  As expected, Bob Jackson
stepped down after a long reign as
the Chairman.  Mike O'Hara was
announced the new chairman with an
almost unanimous vote.  Mike had
held the chairman position in
previous years.  He has taken many
ideas from the current board
members and has vowed to make
changes for the future.  Stay tuned...

The 5th stop of the Desert Classic Tour was
played this past weekend at Bullshooters in
Phoenix.  The original location was moved
and recently opened Bullshooters did an
outstanding job of hosting the tour event.  It
is located at 35th Ave & Peoria in Phoenix,
the old Six Shooters.  And WOW have they
done a fantastic job

converting this place
into the nicest and
largest billiards hall
in the area. Full Story
WOW! Four tournaments – four weekends – six teams
qualified to go to the TAP Nationals in Orlando, Florida.
August was a busy month for Phoenix TAP - first qualifying
the final session’s teams to go to Masters, then corralling
all of the teams who qualified in the previous three
sessions during 2007 to participate in the 2008 Phoenix
Masters.
The Phoenix Masters determined the “best-of-the-best”
TAP teams qualified to go to the TAP Nationals.  Out of a
field of 150 teams for each of the three sessions out of
the year, six teams emerged as the Phoenix TAP elite.
